Account & Data Deletion

Last updated: 3 October 2026

Last updated: 6 October 2026 · Version: 1.0

You may request deletion of your HORE customer account and eligible personal data.

Account deletion is an important and potentially irreversible action. Before completing a request, Your registered company legal name ("HORE", "we", "us" or "our") may verify that the request was made by the account holder, determine what information can be deleted and identify any limited information that must temporarily or permanently be retained for an applicable legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute or other permitted purpose.

1. How to request account or data deletion

The recommended way to submit a deletion request is through your HORE customer account.

  1. Log in to the HORE customer account that you want deleted or reviewed.
  2. Open Privacy & Data Rights.
  3. Select Erasure / account deletion request.
  4. Choose whether you want to request deletion of the entire account or only particular eligible information.
  5. Provide any information reasonably required to identify the account and understand the scope of your request.
  6. Complete account verification if HORE requests it.
  7. Submit the request.

Where request-status tracking is available, you may be able to review the request from the same Privacy & Data Rights section.

2. You may request full or partial deletion

A deletion request does not always need to cover your entire HORE account.

You may request, where applicable:

  • deletion of your complete HORE customer account;
  • removal of eligible profile information;
  • deletion of particular property preferences;
  • removal of eligible saved-property information;
  • removal of eligible enquiry-related personal data;
  • deletion of eligible seller-property submissions, photographs or videos;
  • deletion of eligible HORE chat or support information;
  • removal of eligible AI interaction history;
  • removal of optional marketing or notification information; or
  • another specific category of personal data identified in your request.

Whether particular information can be erased will depend on why it is being processed and whether HORE still has a lawful or necessary reason to retain it.

3. How HORE verifies a deletion request

HORE needs to take reasonable steps to avoid deleting an account because of a fraudulent, mistaken or unauthorised request.

Verification may include:

  • confirming the registered mobile number;
  • OTP verification;
  • confirming an account or request identifier;
  • checking that you are logged in to the relevant account; or
  • another proportionate authentication method where reasonably necessary.

HORE should not ask for unrelated or excessive personal information merely to process a deletion request.

Never send your password, OTP, banking PIN or another person's identity document in a deletion-request description.

4. What may be deleted

Subject to applicable retention requirements and the particular request, deletion may include eligible account-linked information such as:

  • customer profile information;
  • saved property preferences;
  • saved or shortlisted properties;
  • property comparison information stored against your account;
  • property-search preferences;
  • eligible property enquiry information;
  • eligible Realtor-allocation information;
  • eligible site-visit information;
  • eligible seller-property submissions;
  • uploaded property photos and videos;
  • eligible chat information;
  • eligible AI interaction information;
  • notification tokens associated solely with the deleted account;
  • optional marketing preferences;
  • other personal data for which HORE no longer has a necessary or lawful retention purpose.

The exact result depends on the features you have used and the status of your property enquiries, seller requests and other HORE activity.

5. What happens to your HORE account

Once a complete account-deletion request has been verified and approved for completion, HORE may deactivate or close the relevant customer account.

This can mean that you lose access to:

  • your HORE profile;
  • saved and shortlisted properties;
  • property comparisons;
  • personalised property preferences;
  • property enquiry history;
  • assigned Realtor information;
  • site-visit history;
  • seller-property submissions;
  • HORE messages;
  • account-linked notifications; and
  • other customer features linked to the deleted account.

Some effects may be irreversible after deletion has been completed.

6. Property enquiries and Realtor connections

If you have an active property enquiry, HORE may need to close, cancel or otherwise resolve the platform-side enquiry as part of the account-deletion process.

HORE may remove access to customer information that is no longer required by an assigned Realtor.

Limited historical records relating to a Realtor assignment, enquiry, complaint, suspected fraud or dispute may nevertheless be retained where such retention remains necessary and permitted by applicable law.

7. Sell Property requests

If you have submitted a property through HORE's Sell Property feature, deletion may affect an active seller request, Realtor selection, inspection or published listing.

Depending on the stage of the request, HORE may need to:

  • cancel an open Realtor request;
  • close or deactivate an active seller workflow;
  • remove an unpublished property submission;
  • remove eligible property photos or videos;
  • remove the property from HORE's active listings;
  • notify an assigned Realtor that the request was cancelled; or
  • retain limited historical information where reasonably necessary for a dispute, fraud investigation, legal obligation or other permitted purpose.

8. Published property listings

If a seller property has already been published, completion of an eligible deletion request may include removing or disabling the relevant listing from HORE-controlled customer interfaces where the information is no longer required.

Removal from HORE does not guarantee immediate removal of copies that were lawfully obtained or independently stored by another person, search engine, cache, browser, Realtor or third-party service outside HORE's control.

HORE will take reasonable action concerning systems and service providers that remain under HORE's control where deletion is applicable.

9. Messages and conversations

Deleting your account may remove or restrict access to eligible messages associated with your customer account.

However, a message may involve more than one person. In some cases, HORE may need to retain a limited copy or record where necessary to:

  • preserve another person's legitimate conversation record;
  • investigate harassment, fraud or abuse;
  • resolve a customer or Realtor dispute;
  • protect HORE or another person's legal rights; or
  • comply with applicable law.

Where possible and appropriate, HORE may restrict, de-identify or anonymise information instead of continuing to use directly identifiable information.

10. What HORE may need to retain

A request to delete your account does not automatically require HORE to erase information that must or may lawfully be retained for a continuing legitimate and legally permitted purpose.

Limited information may be retained where necessary for:

  • compliance with applicable law or a lawful government order;
  • fraud prevention or investigation;
  • cybersecurity and account-security investigations;
  • prevention of repeated abuse of HORE;
  • an active complaint or grievance;
  • an active or reasonably anticipated legal dispute;
  • establishing, exercising or defending legal claims;
  • maintaining records of privacy requests and HORE's response to those requests;
  • demonstrating consent, withdrawal or account-security actions where such records remain necessary;
  • maintaining transaction, processing or security logs for a period required by applicable law; or
  • another retention obligation imposed by applicable law.

Retention of a limited record for one of these purposes does not give HORE permission to use that record for unrelated advertising or ordinary marketing.

11. Fraud, abuse and blocked accounts

Account deletion must not provide a mechanism for repeatedly creating new accounts to bypass a security restriction, fraud investigation, platform suspension or other legitimate enforcement action.

Where permitted by law, HORE may therefore retain the minimum information reasonably necessary to identify previously confirmed fraud, serious abuse, security incidents or enforcement actions.

12. Backups

Deleted information may remain temporarily in secured system backups after it has been removed from HORE's active production systems.

Backup copies are maintained for disaster recovery, system resilience and security rather than ordinary active use.

Where technically appropriate, deleted information in backups will expire, be overwritten or otherwise cease to be available through the ordinary backup lifecycle, subject to applicable retention requirements.

13. Service providers

HORE may use service providers for cloud infrastructure, databases, media storage, messaging, notifications, security or other platform functions.

When an eligible deletion request is completed, HORE will take appropriate steps concerning processors or service providers that hold the relevant personal data on HORE's behalf, subject to applicable technical and legal retention requirements.

This does not necessarily apply to a third party that has received information independently and processes it under its own lawful responsibility.

14. Deletion is different from withdrawing consent

Withdrawing an optional consent and deleting your entire HORE account are different actions.

For example, you may only want to stop optional marketing communication while continuing to use your HORE account.

In that case, you should normally change the relevant privacy or communication preference rather than request complete account deletion.

Visit Privacy & Data Rights to review the controls made available by HORE.

15. Deletion is different from deleting browser data

Clearing HORE cookies or local storage from your browser does not delete your HORE account or personal data stored on HORE's servers.

Similarly, deleting the HORE mobile application from your device does not by itself delete your account.

To request account deletion, use HORE's Privacy & Data Rights process.

16. Processing time

HORE will review deletion requests within the timeframe applicable to the type of request and any legal requirements in force at that time.

Some requests can require additional time where identity verification, a complex seller-property workflow, security investigation, dispute, service-provider deletion or lawful retention assessment is required.

Where appropriate, HORE may provide an acknowledgement, status update or final response through the account, registered contact details or another available communication channel.

17. If HORE cannot delete particular information

If HORE determines that particular information cannot yet be erased because its retention remains necessary or is required by law, HORE may retain only the information reasonably relevant to that purpose.

Where appropriate and legally required, HORE will explain the reason why the relevant information has not been erased.

Information retained for a restricted purpose should not be used for an unrelated purpose merely because it remains technically stored.

18. Anonymisation instead of deletion

In some circumstances, HORE may permanently anonymise information so that it no longer identifies or relates to you as an identifiable individual.

Properly anonymised information may be retained for legitimate purposes such as aggregate statistics, service performance, reliability or business analysis where permitted by law.

Anonymisation must not be used merely to avoid a valid deletion obligation while retaining information that continues to identify you.

19. Request history

HORE may retain a limited record showing that an account or data deletion request was made and how HORE responded.

This record may include information such as the request identifier, request date, verification status, completion status and reason for any lawful retention.

Such a record may be necessary to demonstrate compliance, handle a later complaint or prevent a deleted account from being accidentally restored.

20. Can a completed deletion be reversed?

Once eligible account information has been permanently deleted or anonymised, HORE may be unable to restore it.

Creating a new account later does not guarantee restoration of your old saved properties, enquiry history, Realtor conversations, seller-property information or other deleted account data.

21. If you change your mind

If your deletion request has not yet been completed, you may contact HORE or use an available request-management function to ask whether the request can still be cancelled.

HORE cannot guarantee cancellation after deletion, anonymisation or an irreversible deletion operation has already been completed.

22. Privacy rights and applicable law

HORE's deletion process is intended to support rights and obligations available under applicable Indian privacy and data-protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection framework as its relevant provisions become applicable.

The availability or scope of a statutory right may depend on the law in force at the time of your request and the reason for which the relevant information is being processed.

HORE may also provide privacy controls voluntarily even where a particular statutory provision is not yet applicable.

23. Complaints about a deletion request

If you believe HORE has incorrectly refused, delayed or incompletely handled a deletion request, you may raise a privacy grievance through the HORE privacy-request process.

Visit Privacy & Data Rights or contact:

grievance@hore.in

Where applicable law provides a further regulatory complaint mechanism, you may also have the right to use that mechanism after completing any grievance-redressal step required by law.
